Position: APPLICATIONS/NPD TECHNOLOGIST – SAVOURY FOODS Location: SOUTH EAST/ EAST ANGLIA Salary: £Attractive The Benefits: Bonus, Pension, Healthcare The Company: A leading creator and manufacturer of flavours for the food & drink industry are currently looking for a Savoury Applications or NPD Technologist to work within their Savoury Application Team which works with key global customers and satellite development teams on various development briefs. Their flavours are used in a wide variety of consumer products - from soups and sauces, to ready meals and snacks; their creativity and ability delivers incomparable savoury flavours. The Role: Developing, preparing and presenting unique products and concepts so that the company's innovative flavourings and technology can be shown to their fullest potential. New Product Development of dehydrated soups, sauces and condiments for the UK & EAME region. Working closely with European & Global Customers to provide a technical service and support; including product presentations, flavour recommendations and issue solving. Working in partnership with account managers to provide local customers with technical details on flavours - this includes new concept presentations as well as specific customer briefs. Qualifications: A strong knowledge of savoury food product development coupled with a Degree Food Science/Technology or related subject. Work well under your own initiative, manage workload, train and develop more junior members of the team, and meet sometimes challenging deadlines. Have a creative approach to product issue solving and a flair for new product development. Excellent knowledge of the development process within the FMCG Food sector. Background of working in developing savoury foods such as Soups, Sauces and Condiments is very much desired. Strong people skills required to work face to face with customers.
