Location: Nationwide (excluding Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)
Salary:
24,939 during probation rising to 25,556 after completing training.
Plus you receive Operational (50%) & Training Uplifts + Territorial Army Bounty (up to 2,426 before tax).
On target realistic earnings during a 12 month working period where you have been deployed in certain operational theatres for 6 months is 46,000.
ALTHOUGH NOT ESSENTIAL THESE ROLES ARE IDEALLY SUITED TO PERSONNEL WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES.

Introduction:
Our Client is looking to recruit a number of experienced ex-military (Royal Navy, Royal Air Force (RAF) or British Army) HGV 1 Drivers to drive their specialist military vehicles. All successful applicants must become a Territorial Army Sponsored Reservist, ultimately sponsored by our Client, a civilian company.
NOTE: All applicants will have to complete a comprehensive medical and fitness/strength tests. Therefore interested applicants should be of good health and physically fit.
These vacancies are nationwide (excluding Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) but locations are dependent on current vacancies. A willingness to be flexible, work away from home and commitment to serve overseas on operational tours is essential.
Work will be divided between driving our client's new fleet of specialist military vehicles and civilian HGV vehicles based in your home region; this is a home based role. Please note this is a permanent position paying a guaranteed monthly salary as indicated.
6 weeks training is provided but it is ESSENTIAL that you have a HGV1 C+E licence along with civilian commercial HGV1 articulated driving experience..
Applicant Requirements:
All Essential:
- Minimum age is 25.
- Must be a holder of a full unrestricted C+E Articulated licence with a minimum of 2 years articulated driving experience.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
- Advantageous if you have previously served in the Royal Air Force (RAF), Royal Navy or Army (TA or Regular).
- All applicants for this position must be prepared to become a member of the Territorial Army as a Sponsored Reservist, this qualifies you for a tax free annual bounty payment. Please note that you will have to complete a comprehensive medical and fitness/strength tests. Therefore interested applicants should be of good health and physically fit.
